Stretching between Cherbourg and Murgon in Queensland’s South Burnett region, the pathway has long been a dream of the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council. For decades, local residents—many of them elders and children—have been forced to walk dangerously close to vehicle traffic along narrow verges.
